Stephanie Gordon-Rivera

Policy Analyst

Stephanie holds a Master’s degree in Public Health with a concentration in Health Policy and Administration from the University of Illinois, Chicago, and a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience with a minor in Psychology from Loyola University. For her master’s capstone project, she conducted a comprehensive policy surveillance study, analyzing laws related to Community Health Worker (CHW) programs across the United States.

Currently, Stephanie is supporting the implementation of the Pre-Matriculation Leadership Academy for New Transfers (PLANT), an intensive summer program designed to inspire and empower pre-health students. This program helps participants strengthen their science study skills and prepare for health careers. She also collaborates with rising second-year medical students and promotores de salud through the PEDAL program, fostering community health initiatives. Additionally, Stephanie teaches the Fact Sheet course for the Aspiring Physician Program and supports the students throughout the summer.

With extensive experience in program implementation, advocacy, community engagement, and health education, Stephanie is passionate about creating opportunities for future healthcare professionals.

In her free time, Stephanie enjoys running, cooking, and traveling.
