Dr. Reena Gupta is the recipient of the ZSFG DOM QI Award

Dr. Reena Gupta is the recipient of the 2019 ZSFG Performance/Quality Improvement Award!

The Medicine Service established this award in 2014 to recognize a medicine faculty member for his/her contributions to the service at SFGH in the area of Performance Improvement (quality, efficiency, access, etc.) that have influenced care in primary and/or specialty areas.

The ZSFG Medicine Education Committee solicits nominations from ZSFG-based Medicine faculty and all Medicine residents for candidates whom they feel exemplify these qualities. The committee would like to share the comments received from faculty and residents who nominated and voted for Dr. Reena Gupta:

Reena Gupta is revered by peers, patients, families, and staff for outstanding performance as a primary care physician. It is also important to recognize Reena's outstanding work in health care quality with the ZSFG Department of Medicine Performance Improvement Award. Until I was recruited as a consultant for the PRIME-QIP Program, I did not fully appreciate how essential Reena's dedication to this mission is for the San Francisco Health Network and the patients we serve. Reena Gupta leads a team of talented analysts who communicate our professional dedication to the state and federal agencies that fund our endeavors.

The 2019 ZSFG Medicine Faculty Awards will be presented on Tuesday, May 21, at 1 pm in Carr Auditorium following Medicine Grand Rounds.
