Kelsey Long, MPH
Project Policy Analyst 2
Kelsey Long is a Project Policy Analyst for the Center for Vulnerable Populations in the Division of General and Internal Medicine at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. She works with Dr. Hilary Seligman and the EatSF team to support projects and research related to food security and health. She returns to UCSF after interning with Dr. Seligman and the EatSF team while pursuing her Master’s degree. Kelsey previously worked as a high school mathematics teacher in San Francisco’s Mission District where she observed first-hand adolescent food insecurity and poor nutrition. Other previous work in community-based programs focused on improving nutrition and access to healthy food has deepened her commitment to promoting health equity in vulnerable communities through the promotion of sustainable diets and prevention to decrease risks of diet-related chronic diseases. Kelsey holds a BA in Mathematics from the University of Texas-Austin and an MPH in Public Health Nutrition from UC Berkeley.
